Logistics Coordinator/Field Coordinator
The Global Health Program Cycle Improvement Project (GH Pro) is seeking a Logistics Coordinator/Field Coordinator for an upcoming USAID assignment. The locations of the position will be in your country of residence.  Assignment durations ranges from 1-6 months.
The Logistics Coordinator/Field Coordinator will help assist GH Pro consultants during their assignment,s as well as support the Evaluation Team with all logistics/administration to allow them to carry out this evaluation. The incumbent must be able to work in a team and be willing to meet various needs of the consultants. The Logistics/Program Assistant will have a good command of English and local languages, as needed. S/He will have knowledge of key actors in the health sector and their locations including MOH, donors and other stakeholders.  S/he will provide assistance in the form of setting up local meetings, including room reservations, supply accommodations and insure business center support, e.g. copying, internet, and printing. S/he will also be responsible for hiring a car and driver for consultants during their assignment. If needed s/he may assist in conducting key informant interviews and surveys, including; coordinating and confirming appointments for meetings, interviews, etc. for team members, provide interpreting services during meetings and interviews for members of the team, translate for the team and transcribe/type field notes in English if interviews are undertaken in local dialects. S/he will be responsible for the maintaining and updating the work plan and provide hard copies to team members whenever changes are made and preparing minutes of meetings, as well as background documents, for the Team. S/he will serve as a translator (written/spoken) for the team’s basic communication with host country nationals, for interviews and during meetings. S/he will also provide basic cultural information that is necessary for the consultant to positively carry out their assignment.
  • University degree desirable or 5 years of experience.
  • Experience working with international consultants.
  • Knowledge/ experience working with the local government.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in public health.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent command of the local language (s) and English (written/spoken).
  • Citizen/resident of the country in which the assignment is taking place.
  • Access to a computer and internet.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills (eg. arranging hotel reservations, meeting schedules, transportation, and purchasing supplies).
  • Experience working on USAID evaluations or USAID funded projects desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to various districts around the country required.
